about the autor
Mariam Pitti Rios is an author, astrophysics enthusiast, and devoted mother who believes that curiosity is one of the greatest gifts we can offer children. She studied physics and astronomy, driven by a lifelong fascination with how the universe works, from the smallest particles to the vastness of the stars.
After becoming a mother, her love for science found a new purpose: inspiring young minds through storytelling. Mariam now creates short, gentle stories that spark imagination, nurture curiosity, and introduce big ideas in a warm and accessible way. Through her books, she hopes to encourage children to ask questions, dream freely, and discover the wonder hidden in the world around them.
When she’s not writing, Mariam enjoys learning, creating, and sharing her passion for science and creativity with her family. Her stories are written with love, imagination, and a deep respect for childhood curiosity.

Nikola Tesla’s Little Pigeon Friend
A gentle children’s picture book inspired by a true story, Nikola Tesla’s Little Pigeon Friend follows the brilliant but lonely inventor as he finds comfort and friendship with the pigeons outside his New York City window.
When one special pigeon becomes his closest companion, Tesla learns that kindness, empathy, and compassion matter more than fame or success. Perfect for bedtime or classroom reading, the story teaches children the value of friendship, caring for animals, and choosing kindness over recognition.
